Toby has been working on his hiking merit badge, and he needed a 20 mile hike. We were going to do this in the spring, and even had a date picked, but it was 90+ degrees, so we called it off. Today the kids had the day off for teacher training, or something like that, so we went hiking.
We found a nearby lake with a 26 mile trail around it. Toby, Isaac, Jake and I set off early this morning. Here is the break at Mile 11.
Betsy, Amy, and the rest of the kids met us at mile 16 for a pit (bbq) stop.
McKay joined us from mile 16 to mile 20, where Toby and Jake called it a day.
Isaac and I finished the rest of the trail, and made it back to the car, just as the sun was going down. (There was no mile marker for 26)
