Binky Fix

Hazel has 20 binkies (a couple are missing from the picture). She loves her binkies. But it was getting out of hand so we started limiting binky usage to her bed.
Well, it took a day or two but Hazel adapted to the new rules. She started asking to go "night-night" when she was ready to use her binkies. Bonus for us, naptime and bedtime are super easy now.
The new adaptation is that now, even though she just woke up half an hour ago, she is asking for "night-night" just to have her binkies!! She is crazy. So she just spent another half hour in her bed with her binkies to get her fix. I have a binky addict!

CHUY'S

Chuy's is one of our favorite restaurants. It is a local tex-mex place that is awesome. We have been going to Chuy's for about 9 years. So I decided to take a picture when we went the other night. Nate didn't get why. But we go all the time and have never documented it. So now we have.

Isaac's GT Project

At school the kids in GT do an independent project and show in a fair. Isaac made a book about starfish.

Posy Pictures

Is this normal?

I love Aspen. Yesterday a new Aspen showed up at our house.
  • The new Aspen cleared the table, emptied the dishwasher, rinsed the dishes and loaded them into the dishwasher, all without being asked.
  • The new Aspen folded laundry without being asked.
  • This new Aspen also made the school lunches for herself and her brothers without being asked.
I'm not complaining, mind you, just wondering if this is normal behavior for a 10 year old girl.

I am all Advil

I started a new workout program yesterday. Today I can hardly move. I want to cry.

There was a glute machine at the gym. It kicked my butt (literally).

I ran with Nate last night. You would think that after 13 miles in Moab, a little 3 miles wouldn't make me even breathe hard. But Nate runs faster than me and I tried to keep up. Now I can't move. No pain, no gain. I still want to cry.

'tis the season

It is bluebonnet season again!! Time for annual photo shoot with my family. They are such a great family to indulge my hobby. They don't like it much, but it has become a tradition. The flowers will be at their peak next week so I will take pictures after conference next Sunday.
