Hazel finally had her birthday party. Her friends came over for our Puppy Party. Everyone got ears, their face painted and went around pretending to be a puppy for an hour. Here is Hazel, or otherwise known as Tootsie Roll the puppy.
jumped through hoops,
rolled over,
and barked.
Each puppy got their own food dish complete with dog food. (One little boy wouldn't eat it though, he thought it was really dog food:) Others really got into role.
I was able to find some pretty good pretend dog food. I couldn't pass up the dog biscuit bones. The cereal fit our theme "purrfectly".
Copper performed all of her tricks while the kids cheered. Copper doesn't get treats very often. So she did all of her tricks in a row until I gave her some. The kids thought that the dog jumping through the hoop was super exciting. Three year olds are easy to please!
And of course there were cupcakes. (The adults were definitely more impressed than the kids.) Present time is a happy sad thing for little party goers.
It was a fun party. Thanks to all the helpers: Aspen and friends for decorating the dog bowls and helping at the party; Amanda for taking pictures; and all the other moms for helping out with crowd control. The cupcake directions came from a recent issue of Family Circle.
very cute! You should post the pix from Aspen's puppy party when she was little! I love the name Tootsie Roll, did she name herself?
ReplyDeleteSooooo fun! That is such a great idea! Maybe we will have to steal that idea for Emma's 3rd Birthday because she loves pretending to be a dog.
ReplyDeleteThe party looked great. We were in Utah for AMalia's puppy party and that was fun. I am glad that Hazel had a good time. You did a great job with everything. You are a very good mother. Parties were not really my thing but I tried.
ReplyDeleteDarling Cupcakes!!!
