Every time we drive out in the country I feel a little homesick. I miss living where there is a lot of wide open space and clear skies. And the green and golden fields... One day I'll live that dream. For now, we just go for drives in the country.

Blackberry picking
It's blackberry picking time again. Good thing too: we are out of berries. And with all this 100 degree weather we're having we are looking forward to some homemade berry ice cream.
We didn't get quite so many this year. It has been too hot and not enough rain. And the kids got hot (90 degrees at 10AM). So we called it good with about 8 pounds and bought some homemade ice cream and popsicles to eat on the way home.

It's not easy being green
I saw this car as I was getting off the tollway this afternoon. I've never been more excited to stop at a green light - so I could get a picture of this car. They aren't great, they were shot with the camera on my phone. But click on them to see. The entire car is covered in that green plastic outdoor carpet! Even the bumper. NICE....
