Visiting

We also saw the Bolanders while in California. They were able to squeeze us in even though they were busy.
I think Isaac spent the whole visit in the tree. (His only request if we ever move is the property must have climbing trees.) So he was in heaven and occupied the whole time. The girls got along famously. Toby spent a bit of time playing Legos and visiting with Bruce and Nate.

It is always lovely to see Bonny and her family.

California smells so pretty!

It really does! If was one of the first things I noticed when we got to California. Between the cherry blossoms and the orange blossoms and everything else that was blooming, I was in fragrance heaven. (Citrus is one of my favorite scents.)While in LA we visited Great Grandma Mary. (The grandma with all the orange trees.) And of course we had to make some orange juice while we were there. So the kids picked a bagful of oranges. Then we washed them, and squeezed them.

And enjoyed our juice. Nothing quite like freshly squeezed OJ. As a kid I remember eating 10 or 20 oranges a day, plus drinking fresh OJ every chance I could whenever I visited.

Princesses

While at Disneyland, I wanted Hazel to be able to meet some of the princesses. So one morning, while everyone else went to California Adventure, I took Hazel to stand in line to see them at the Princess Fantasy Faire. When I got in line I had no idea that we would be standing there for TWO hours. (It looked like a 30 minute line.) But Hazel was a trooper and didn't want to leave. She got to meet Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, and Mulan. Hazel was so excited and happy for the rest of the day.
