All day I told the kids we were going to either go to the pool or check out the sprinkler park. The kids voted to go to the pool. So after dinner we got swimsuits on, grabbed the swim stuff, and loaded up the car. But when we got to the pool, it was closed.
Bummer. (It's been closed for a week!)
So we decided to check out the sprinkler park instead. It's about a 10-15 minute drive. When we got there - we found another "temporarily closed" sign.
Double Bummer!
So we filled up the kiddie pool in the back yard and I gave the kids 3 cans of shaving cream. The little kids were iffy about the cream. They just washed my patio chairs for me.
But the big kids had a lot of fun with it.
They got it all over.
Next time I'll buy 10 cans of shaving cream. Gotta love the $1 store for cheap, clean fun!

The difference between men and women
Mini Fun
It seems that kids love tiny sized things. We made a special trip to Target to get a tea set and buy tiny snacks. Then we came home and had a tea party lunch. Even the big kids wanted in. (It is kind of funny to watch a ten-year-old boy eating off a pink polka-dotted flower shaped plate.) Everyone had fun and there have been more requests for tea parties since.
