Cozumel

Day two was Cozumel. We did SNUBA. For those who don't know, snuba is a combination of scuba diving and snorkeling. We are hooked. It was a little disconcerting at first; I wasn't sure that I would be able to stay calm enough to just breath underwater. But we did good. We saw some cool fish, a lobster, and an eel. We want to do it again and most likely get SCUBA certified.

I had to get a picture with the authentic mariachi band.

For another funny story about our visit in Cozumel, click here and read about the bag (about half way down the post).

  1. how fun to see all these places again! brad and i went to cozumel for our 10th anniversary right before moving from chicago...we both dive, and chose to go to cozumel for it's protected reefs and the amazing diversity there.

learning to scuba hadn't been on my list of things to learn in life, reason #1 being fear of drowning. but learning how eliminated my fear, and we've enjoyed diving all kinds of places for the last 10 years.

we've also been to the keys...i was there last with my old chicago friend susan (remember her?) we went on a girl-trip together, just the two of us. good times!

where else did you guys go? glad you got a much needed break, and how fun to do it with F&J!
