A Day in My Life

6:50 am alarm goes off, press "snooze"
7:15 am realize I overslept and get up, find that Nate is staying home today because he's sick
7:20 am make Isaac's lunch, do meds, prayers, etc
7:30 am take Isaac to school, go into the school to drop off my assigned crate of water balloons for field day.
7:50 am make Aspen's and Hazel's lunches, console Hazel - who is sad because I didn't come and wake her up (I was dropping off Isaac)
8:00 am convince Hazel that she must eat her left-over dinner from last night (house rule) before she can eat a muffin and/or cereal
8:10 am take Aspen to school (late - her fault)
8:20 am get a muffin for Hazel, get her dressed, hair fixed, teeth brushed
8:40 am assign Toby his school work, leave list for him
8:45 am take Hazel to school
9:15 am work at the popcorn stand at the elementary school's field day
11:15 am come home and shower after a rather warm field day
11:45 am check email, blogs, etc.
12:05 pm correct Toby's homework and finish assigning math and spanish for the day
1:00 pm make and eat my lunch
1:45 pm pick up Hazel from school
2:15 pm stop at the grocery store
2:40 pm pick up Isaac
2:45 pm realize the grocery store gave me someone else's bag
3:00 pm get snacks for everyone, referee kids, watch DVR'd show
4:00 pm pick up Aspen
4:10 pm play connect four, memory, and old maid with the kids
4:30 pm Isaac's meds
5:30 pm watch tv, find some dinner for the kids
6:15 pm go with Nate to the bank, the bookstore, Pho Hoang's (craving some pho), Blockbuster and Best Buy (even though it's just errands, it's nice to be with Nate without tired kids)
8:30 pm put kids in bed
9:15 pm watch a show
10:30 pm go to bed

And start all over again tomorrow.

  2. I was looking closer at your picture. Nate, when your cruising at 75 mph, you ought to keep both hands on the wheel. Cool reflections in your glasses though.
